Here’s some advice, always ask questions
God’s signs everywhere so pay attention
Angers your enemy so avoid aggression
Pride, lust, envy, greed and obsession
Try to lead you on a path of transgression
Reset to win, through intercession
Journey to the places of fourteen blessings
Educate yourself, seek a positive profession
Let all your actions, match your intentions
Always walk the path but stay expressive
Be inventive, creative, and take adventures
Never forget Kerbala, or its lessons
I will not forgive, if u give into oppression
Fight back always, even Smith and Wesson

Life is a test, prepare to be tested
Of all of creation Fatima is the best
Your life’s role model, the voice in your chest
A guide who blesses you, upon your quests
When in doubt, do what Imam Ali did
Its hard growing up being a mixed race kid
In this world, it feels like you have no home
But Allah is with you, so you’re never alone
Stay brave and recite the verse of the throne
Protect yourself in this world, of unknowns
Never leave the Quran or Ahlul-Bayt
The 12th Imam; I hope you see his face
Invite him back through all your positive acts
Khums, charity, daily prayers and fast
Only then relax, pause and recollect
Problem with most folks they never self-reflect
You cant see bars but this world’s a prison
You will face both racism and sexism
Even Orientalism, so heed what I’m saying
Take a deep breath and go day by day
There are days of happiness and days to mourn
I’ve asked God for hope, while I felt torn
I’ve prayed every day in this world of scorn
My prayer got answered when you were born
