Who do you follow? Pathless, insides hollow
Knock on neighbors’ door, cup-o-faith to be borrowed
Wallow in self doubt, the signs and portents on rise
Only Yazeed, Nimrud, & Pharaoh can empathize
Who do you follow? These are the times
Science ridicules the wise, bearded men speak lies
Skirts on Muslim women show more than just thighs
Lower the gaze means more than just eyes!
Veil your actions, and cover your pride
It He who judges, yet we criticize
Who do you follow? Men who spread diseases
Envy, greed, manipulate the masses, deceiving
Generation after generation, and only cease when
Nothing is left breathing on land or sea, and
Who do you follow? At a time where lands are seized and
apathy infiltrates stem, you wait for siege to end
The shaky knees of men, rooted, while seeds of men
Are stole and leased to men, signs of beast on the wind
Who do we follow? A sign that lets us be breathe again,
stand upon a prayer a mat, made of reeds and stems
After prayer, I stand again, peace upon all of them:
Infallible Guardians, enumerated 2 + 10
Who do I follow? Fallen leaves off shaken trees pens,
Ink from all oceans, seas, and, “a man for all seasons”,
beyond Thomas, become his shadow, infinite reasons
To follow the path, of true emblematic leaders
Who do I follow, he who transforms days to weeks
Eid to Ashura & Easters into Ramadan feasts,
Turns heads facing the west, towards the East
Modifies ill deceivers into devilish beasts
Transforms tyrants in power into the weak,
& the meek into leaders, former leaders into sheep
Illiterates he makes readers, Reefers, prayer beads
Murderers and thieves into those that bleed
On Day of Judgment, with chests that heave
Questioned about their blood-thirst and quest to feed
